Mildura is situated in Victoria’s north west. The surrounding landscape ranges from mallee vegetation to grain farms, intensive horticulture, vibrant towns and the beautiful banks of the Murray River. It is home to television chef Stefano di Pieri and will soon have Australia’s largest solar power station.

SuniTAFE’s main Mildura campus includes extensive trades, arts, business and other learning facilities. Its features include:

National Centre for Sustainability

The Mildura office of the National Centre for Sustainability (NCS) is an environmentally designed facility with modern laboratories and classrooms. It also has horticulture facilities and extensive grounds replicating the major vegetation communities found in the Mallee.

SuniTAFE Business Solutions

SuniTAFE Business Solutions offers businesses a broad range of services including employee training and professional development.

They also offer the general public courses in business and finance, and help finding a new position in the industry or starting their own business. 

Learning Resource Centre

Includes Mildura’s largest student library, a specialty bookshop, and commercial quality printing, DVD duplication and videoconferencing facilities.

Student Residences

On site accommodation is available for students enrolled in SuniTAFE or La Trobe University courses, including block release Apprenticeship and Traineeship programs.

TAFE Kids Inc.

This fully equipped child care centre caters for children aged between 6 weeks and 12 years of age, serving students and the general public.

Restaurant Délice

SuniTAFE’s training restaurant is open to students and the general public for lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays from March to October.

Mildura Hair & Beauty College

The College offers students and the general public a range of hair and beauty services.

Dulka Yuppata Koorie Cultural Centre

The Centre is an important part of the local Koorie community, delivering educational and general community projects.

U3A Sunraysia

U3A offers older people courses, lectures and other activities. Visit the U3A Sunraysia website for more information.

Facility Hire

An auditorium, theatrette, videoconferencing room and other facilities are available for hire. Catering is available.

Getting here

By car

The campus is on Benetook Ave between Eleventh and Fourteenth Streets. There is ample on-site parking.

By local bus

Sunraysia Bus Lines operates three services connecting Mildura and nearby towns to the campus:

Route 400/401 (City East) regularly connects Centro, the City Heart and eastern Mildura to the campus. The campus stops are on Eleventh Street, near the corner of Benetook Ave.

Buses from Red Cliffs, Irymple, Merbein, Wentworth, Dareton, Buronga, Gol Gol and western Mildura connect with this service. Please check the relevant timetables before making a connection, as there can be substantial waiting times.

Route 702 (Special) at 3.30 pm on weekdays during Victorian school terms takes passengers from the Shell service station opposite the campus, down Eleventh St to Deakin Ave.

Route 950/951 (Wentworth) offers a weekdaily return service from Wentworth, Dareton and Buronga during Victorian school terms. The bus leaves Wentworth at 7.50 am and arrives at the front of the Mildura campus at 8.45 am. The bus leaves from the front of the campus at 3.50 pm, arriving at Wentworth at 4.35 pm.

Note that neither the 702 or 950/951 services operate on Victorian public holidays.

Sunraysia Bus Lines advises that departing passengers should be at their stop five minutes before the scheduled departure time.

By air

Qantas, Virgin Blue and Regional Express operate flights between Melbourne and Mildura.

Sharp Airlines operate flights between Adelaide and Mildura.

Taxis and hire cars are available at Mildura Airport. Driving to the campus takes about 20 minutes.

By rail or coach

V/Line operates services between Mildura, Melbourne and most parts of regional Victoria and the Riverina, including Robinvale, Swan Hill, Horsham and Bendigo.

Greyhound operates services between Mildura, Adelaide and Sydney, including Balranald, Robinvale, and the Riverland.

CountryLink operates services between Mildura, Sydney and most parts of regional NSW, including Balranald and Robinvale.

Buses R Us operate services between Broken Hill and Mildura.

Zaffina Bus Lines operate services between Robinvale and Mildura.

The Northern Mallee Primary Care Partnership Transport Connections Project operates limited services between Mildura, Ouyen, Sea Lake and Colignan.

Balranald Community Transport operates limited services between Balranald and Mildura.
