Swan Hill is a small city on a quiet part of the Murray River, serving the surrounding agricultural area. Transporting the district's produce to major metropolitan areas is an important local industry.

The Fairfax Festival is a statewide theatrical competition based in the city. Swan Hill Pioneer Settlement re-enacts slices of historical life on a daily basis. Swan Hill was also the home of James Aldridge, whose books have been adapted for television and the silver screen.

The Swan Hill Campus features state of the art facilities and learning environments particularly in the trades area, and is central to automotive heavy vehicle trade education in the region.

Rooms and videoconferencing facilities are available for the public to hire.

A few kilometres from Swan Hill, SuniTAFE owns a 108 hectare property with potential for diverse horticulture and agricultural training and industry partnered research.

Swan Hill hairdressing and beauty courses are delivered by our training partner, Swan Hill College of Hair and Beauty, at 282 Campbell St. Enrolment and other administrative matters relating to these courses are handled at the main campus.

A collection of library resources is available for students at the Swan Hill council library at 53 Campbell St. Students can also order items stored at the Mildura Campus, which are delivered within a few days. Deakin at Your Doorstep students can additionally order items from the Deakin University Library and it's affiliates.

Getting here

By car

The campus is on Sea Lake-Swan Hill Rd next to Barry Steggall Park. It is part of the Tower Hill development. There is ample on-site parking.

By local bus

Swanlink’s North Route connects the campus to central and northern Swan Hill. The company's South Route connects to this route in central Swan Hill.

Once an evening on weekdays, travellers in central Swan Hill can take Swanlink's Tooleybuc bus to the campus. This arrives at 6.50 pm. On Saturdays, a similar service arrives at 1.29 pm.

An additional bus service is available to Koorie students. Please contact the Koorie Department for more information.

By air

Mildura Airport is the nearest airport with scheduled services.

By rail or coach

V/Line operates services between Swan Hill, Melbourne, Adelaide and most parts of regional Victoria and the Riverina, including Kerang, Manangatang, Nyah, Lalbert, Quambatook and Mildura.

Swanlink's Tooleybuc route services Tooleybuc, Nyah and Swan Hill, plus the towns in between. Buses on this route are often scheduled to stop at the campus. Please check the timetable for details.

The Southern Mallee Transport Connections Partnership operates limited services between Swan Hill, Sea Lake, Wycheproof, Ultima, Lalbert and Quambatook.

Balranald Community Transport operates limited services between Swan Hill, Balranald, Euston and Kyalite.

Wakool Shire operates limited services between Swan Hill and Moulamein.
