Students who have completed the Certificate III in Business could further their studies with enrolment into areas such as Certificate IV in Leadership and Management and Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
This course is completed via traineeship and flexible/online delivery. This qualification is suitable for new and/or relatively inexperienced clerical and office workers, or those who aspire to such a role. The course is designed for study off campus and access to a workplace (office) is highly desirable. The course applies adult learning principles of self-directed learning and students are required to maintain monthly contact with their teacher.
Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review before enrolling to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals. Students in the Certificate III in Business will be expected to: Be able to access and use a personal computer, including basic word processing, spreadsheet, email programs and internet search engines. Have a demonstrated capacity in learning, reading, writing, oracy competencies to Level 3 and numeracy Level 2 of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF). Employment in a position that provides access to office administration environment/activities. Legislative requirements with respect to age may apply. Trainee: At the commencement of the traineeship the trainee and employer will be required to sign a training agreement which specifies the duration and type of training arrangements entered into and comply with Institute requirements.Undertake an interview process that assesses the applicant's skills.
