INHSRWRV HSR Refresher OHS Training Course - Work Related Violence

Overview

This WorkSafe approved HSR Refresher training course will assist HSR's and Deputy HSR's understanding of how they can effectively use their powers when participating in the identification, prevention and control of the risks associated with work-related violence. It is an opportunity to revisit aspects of the HSR Initial OHS Training course and to keep updated with any legislative changes that may have occurred. Under the OHS Act 2004 (section 67) all elected Health and Safety Representative (HSR) and Deputy HSR's are entitled to undertake WorkSafe Victoria approved OHS training for HSRs and choose their course in consultation with their employer. Emphasis is on participant involvement and activities covering: Designated Work Groups; HSR Powers; Consultation; Risk Management (focusing on Work-related Violence); Elements of the legislative framework; Issue Resolution; Provisional Improvement Notices; Working with WorkSafe Inspectors. Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance after completion of the course.

Course Delivery

Classroom - Training will be delivered on site at SuniTAFE.

Entry Requirements

Must have undertaken the HSR Initial OHS Training course.
