CHCSS00114 Entry into Care Roles Skill Set

Short Course
This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding


This skill set addresses the skills and knowledge required to provide entry level support for basic client care for a range of roles and purposes required within the Health, Aged Care and Disability Support sectors. The support provided in client care will be predominantly non-direct, with some basic direct client care, in order to maintain the safety of both the learner and client in care.


This qualification can lead to positions such as, Personal Care Assistant, Nurse's Aide, Support Worker, Residential Care worker, Transport Support Worker, or Field Officer (Community Services). Candidates who complete this skill set would be equipped with the skills and knowledge required to undertake training for job to support fully qualified carers in the Disability and Aged Care sector.


Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate III Allied Health Assistant, Certificate IV in Disability, Certificate III in Community Services.

Course Delivery

This skill set will be delivered at Mildura Campus and Swan Hill Campus classroom based.

Entry Requirements

Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review before enrolling to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals.
