Certificate III in Nursery Operations provides the skills and knowledge required for trade level roles carried out under broad supervision in the nursery industry.

Completion of this course will give you the necessary skills to work as a nurseryperson in the nursery production and retail nursery industry.

Pathways

Further training pathways from this qualification include, but are not limited to Certificate IV in Horticulture or other Horticulture industry specific qualifications at Certificate IV level.

Course Delivery

The course units are scheduled over a 3 year period. Delivery is facilitated within the workplace and supplemented with self-directed online learning.

Entry Requirements

Apprentices must have a registered training contract agreement with their employer. Students must be currently employed within a nursery to undertake this course. Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review before enrolling to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals.
