Those undertaking the Diploma of Automotive Technology must have completed an automotive Certificate IV qualification in one of the following disciplines, or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency. AUR40216 - Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis or AUR40816 - Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Overhauling. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication. Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review before enrolling to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals.
