Take the first step towards your apprenticeship with a Pre-Apprenticeship course.

Pre-apprenticeship programs provide basic skills and a good starting point to enter an apprenticeship course.  Participants can experience the industry first before taking on the commitment of an apprenticeship.  It can give you an advantage with employers when applying for an apprenticeship.  You may receive credit for the units of study completed or reduce the time of your apprenticeship.

Pre-apprenticeships are on campus and conducted within SuniTAFE’s workshops – a simulated (work) environment.

Courses usually take between 16-20 weeks to complete and are based on units within the apprenticeship programs.

Many trade courses are on the Free TAFE for Priority Courses list which is a great opportunity to get started with your trade career.
