Overview

The Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance enables you to provide supervised assistance to allied health professionals, without conducting programs or therapeutic interventions. You will learn the skills which will allow you to support patient therapy in a specialised area as well as all the safety, communication and personal skills to make sure you are confident and competent in a demanding workplace.

Careers

This qualification could lead to employment as a Therapy Assistant, Physiotherapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Podiatry Assistant, Speech Pathology Assistant or Allied Health Assistant.

Pathways

This qualification enables students onto pathway into Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance.

Course Delivery

This qualification is only delivered to students who are currently employed as a trainee in a health assistant role for at least 11 hours per week. There is no classroom delivery of this training.

Entry Requirements

Each student will require a Victorian police check and will undertake a Pre-Training Review to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals.
