This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform sales-related tasks in the automotive service and repair sector. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
The Certificate III in Automotive sales, spare parts prepares new employees or recognises and develops existing workers who are performing general sales, spare parts functions in an automotive retail, service or repair business.
Further training pathways from this course could include Certificate IV in Automotive Management, Certificate IV in Vehicle Loss Assessing and Diploma of Automotive Management.
This course is offered for apprentices only who are signed up with an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network provider. This course is primarily delivered on-the-job, however students may be required to attend campus for content that is not able to be adequately delivered and assessed in that particular business. Attendance hours may vary from student to student based upon the needs of the individual student and employer.
Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review before enrolling to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals. Students must be registered as an apprentice in Victoria or NSW to be eligible for enrolment in this course. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification. Students will have some experience and gain further experience throughout their 3 years working in the industry.
