This course introduces the standard features and functions of Microsoft Excel to allow users to understand and create spreadsheets for use in their day-to-day workplace roles. After completing this course users will be able to: Navigate existing Excel spreadsheets, create their own Excel spreadsheets as needed in their workplace role, and utilise standard features and functions to improve the ease of use and effectiveness of Excel spreadsheets. The course topics are: Spreadsheet basics, introduction to formatting, introduction to formulae and functions, introduction to charts, and working with multiple worksheets.
The course is suitable for people with typical workplace digital literacy skills who have either had no experience using Excel or whose Excel use has been limited to entering data into a simple table. The course is suitable to people in any workplace role that makes use of Excel. It is especially relevant for people working in the following roles: Business Administration, Human Resources, Project and Program Management, and Education and Training.
It has been identified that some participants may continue on to Business studies or Accounting
Classroom and Employer based delivery available.
Students are required to bring their own laptop with Microsoft Excel installed.
