This qualification reflects the role of education support workers in a range of education settings, including public and independent schools and community education settings, who provide assistance and support to teachers and students under broad-based supervision. school supports will be involved in facilitation for learning for a range of student groups in various educational settings and curriculums, including those supports for students in need of additional support. education support workers will source and analyse information from diverse sources and required to work with limited direct supervision. Some job roles may require tasks to be performed with a moderate level of autonomy and/or the provision of supervision/leadership to other staff/volunteers.

MILDURA: Tuesday/Wednesday, Night Classes 5pm - 8pm and Workshops 9.30am - 3pm (timetable will be supplied to students).
Applicant will be required to undertake a Pre-Training Review before enrolling to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals. Applicants must be able to provide a Working with Children Check as part of their application for enrolment. Immunisation and police check may be required prior to placement arrangements and will be discussed with students at induction/orientation. Use and access to internet and computers is required to complete online learning and submission of assessments. Students must be able to attend 2 x 2 week placement blocks (Monday - Friday) for 7.6 hours per day. Applicants must be available for night classes delivered on campus and via zoom from 5.00pm to 8.00pm two nights per week and 4 workshops delivered on campus 9.30am-3.00pm. 2 day workshops in Victorian school holidays may be required for simulated assessments. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to enrol in the course (individual circumstances for applicants can be discussed and approved by the Education Delivery Manager).
