How to apply at SuniTAFE

Step 1: Apply now

Once you have chosen a course that you would like to study, go to the course on our website and click the APPLY NOW button and complete the mandatory fields and submit.

If you are an international student, please refer to the INTERNATIONAL page on how to apply to study at SuniTAFE.

Alternatively, if you are not ready to enrol or you would like more information about the course you can click the ONLINE ENQUIRY button and an Enrolment Advisor or Client Engagement Officer will contact you to discuss your enquiry. 

Step 2: Pre-training review & required evidence

After applying online, an Enrolment Advisor will be in contact to provide you with details of the next requirements for enrolment. You will be required to complete a Pre-Training Review as part of this step, which will determine your suitability for the course. Most courses will also require that you undertake a Language Literacy and Numeracy Assessment and you may also be required to attend an interview with the course teacher.

As part of this step you will be required to provide us with the following:
 

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

If you do not already have one, you can apply for one here www.usi.gov.au
 

Proof of Permanent Residency

You must be able to provide any one of the following:
  • Current Green Medicare Card
  • Australian Birth Certificate (not extract)
  • Current Australian or New Zealand Passport
  • Naturalisation Certificate
  • Formal documentation issued by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection confirming permanent residence.
If you are aged under 20 and the document provided above does not have your date of birth, you must also present us with one of the following:
  • A current driver’s licence
  • A current learner’s permit
  • A proof of Age Card
  • A Key Pass Card
  • Concession
If you are claiming a concession, you must provide us with a one of the following:
  • Health Care Card
  • Pensioner Concession Card
  • Veterans Gold Card
An Enrolment Advisor will be in contact where you have been deemed suitable for the course and all documents are in order and you will be given details of how to finalise payment for your enrolment.
