Congratulations to the class of 2019 for a year of outstanding achievement.
Visitors from across the Sunraysia region joined SuniTAFE staff and sponsors on Wednesday 4 March to celebrate the graduating students of the Mildura Campus and outstanding academic achievements for 2019.
An estimated 300 guests converged on Mildura Arts Centre to witness students graduate from 18 diploma and advanced diploma courses. While apprentices and trainees were recognised for completing their studies from 27 courses. 11 student awards and 5 scholarships were also presented to deserving students.
Further consolidating SuniTAFE as Australia's Large Training Provider of the Year, SuniTAFE celebrates its 40 year anniversary in 2020. To mark this milestone, a special visual presentation and glimpse into SuniTAFE's history was delivered by former Board Chair and CEO Leonie Burrows.
In recognition of staff innovation and excellence Janet Nunn, Coordinator Disability Liaison received Staff Member of the Year. Michelle Dent, Nursing, was awarded Teacher of the Year.
Select Harvests was announced as Employer of the Year for achieving excellence in the provision of nationally recognised training to its employees. Since 2010, Select Harvests and SuniTAFE have collaborated on training and workforce development and in 2018 the organisation made its strongest committment, placing 79 staff into full qualifications SuniTAFE.
SuniTAFE Board and staff are proud of all the graduating students, award winners and the extensive partnerships with industry and regional community groups that enable SuniTAFE to continue delivering high quality training and employment outcomes.
