A sea of Ugly Sweaters or Jolly Jumpers graced the SuniTAFE campuses this week for the Christmas in July celebrations. Jumpers featuring reindeers to dugongs wrapped in Christmas lights had featured wide and varied designs. Many staff chose to wear their favourite jumper while others went for something a bit more ‘Chrismassy’.

A very enjoyable and delicious morning tea prepared and served by the VCAL students was available to purchase with all funds going to the Heart Foundation. The choice was made difficult by the large range of yummy treats available which included: scones with jam and cream, savoury scones, blondies, trifle, gingerbread men, shortbread, cupcakes and so much more. The hospitality team made great coffees by order for all. Great job everyone!

VCAL students also had a stall with chopping boards and garden hearts to purchase and an ‘Elf Yourself’ photo booth opportunity, which many people enjoyed.

Also included in the event was a ‘friendly’ competition for staff to create ‘Christmas themed’ displays in the Student Hub with the following guidelines: displays should not be more then 1 metre wide and must be installed between July 11 and 22. After a spirited and fun voting session the Hospitality team were voted as the winners.
