Courtney Sandiman

It's been several years since Courtney Sandiman, 22, first set foot on at SuniTAFE.

After finishing secondary school, Courtney turned to SuniTAFE to build her knowledge and skill set by completing a Certificate IV in Design and Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management. She has recently completed her apprenticeship at Mildura Rural City Council and is in her final year of completing a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens (AHC31016).

The “three courses and my apprenticeship all gave me the practical knowledge and skills I have needed while at work,” Courtney said.

“I have enjoyed constantly learning new things and getting to learn through hands on and practical requirements as well as theory-based learning.

“I have also appreciated that every teacher is different with their approach to learning.”

In her current role at Mildura Rural City Council, Courtney works throughout Sunraysia focusing garden maintenance.

“The courses at SuniTAFE are very hands on and gave me all the practical knowledge needed and given me an insight into all different aspects of my current role,” Courtney said.

“It has allowed me to learn about all different areas and for anyone interested in being outdoors, gardening and spending your day doing a variety of things, a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens AHC31016 could be the right one for you.”
