SuniTAFE are thrilled to learn they are a category finalist for Industry Collaboration at the Australian Training Awards.
Following their win at the Victorian Training Awards Virtual Event Series, SuniTAFE was nominated to enter a shortlisting process for the national awards.
"Being a finalist is an absolute credit to everyone involved in this initiative," said Geoff Dea, SuniTAFE CEO.
The Industry Collaboration Award highlights the successful aged care leadership development collaboration formed between SuniTAFE and 4 aged care providers in the region: Princes Court, Chaffey Aged Care, Jacaranda Village and Murray House. The project identified common problems across the 4 providers to deliver skills, training and education solutions.
"This collaboration demonstrates excellence in training planning and delivery" said Mr Dea. ""We have proven ability to build relationships, respond to the community and industry to meet their needs."
A key project milestone was the delivery of targeted training for existing team leaders, supervisors and managers in Certificate IV in Leadership and Management on-site across all respective aged care facilities.
"The collaboration between SuniTAFE and the aged care providers has strengthened the relationship between each organisation and cemented the connection and collaboration between SuniTAFE and industry" said Darren Midgley, Chaffey Aged Care CEO.
The winners will be announced via an online virtual presentation event on Friday 20 November.
