We are proud to be a part of many community events and industry partnerships, promoting life long education and training.
To help students aged 16 to 20 choose the right course, and help them learn in an adult education environment, we have a Youth and Equity Team.
This group of people offers assistance with career planning, completing enrolments and meeting with SuniTAFE faculty managers. Students can also receive mentoring, educational support and referrals from these staff throughout their studies.
The Team also offers students wellbeing support as well as a wide range of other youth focused activities.
We are committed to life long learning and have a range of services available. As part of our commitment to youth we are continually developing courses that meet and address the needs of youth.
Restaurants, cafés and other hospitality venues are a great place to start working life. Young people considering a career as a chef or working in other commercial cookery roles will gain an advantage if they complete our Certificate II in Hospitality (Kitchen Operations).
SuniTAFE’s Future Career Expos are a great way for students in Years 9 to 12 (and other people around that age) to find out more about the diverse range of jobs available locally. Interested students should talk to their teachers, and other young people should contact the Youth and Equity Team. Mildura Campus students should ring 03 5022 3786, while students at the Swan Hill, Robinvale and Mallee campuses should ring 03 5036 0256.
We are committed to increasing engagement of youth in education and training, providing life skills and promoting work ethics in every day life at SuniTAFE. If you or anyone you know is seeking alternative education and training or would like to gain further qualifications contact SuniTAFE today.
