their field. This is why former student Natalie Wright chose to return to study.
Natalie completed FNS40217 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping in 2022.
Prior to studying at SuniTAFE, Natalie enjoyed working in a range of accounting and bookkeeping
roles.
“I have been working in various accounts payable and receivable roles for many years. I have also
completed cashflow forecasting, bank reconciliations, and other balance sheet reconciliations.”
However, Natalie recognised that she could build upon her existing skillset with SuniTAFE.
“I chose to go back to study to enhance my career prospects, as well as my self-confidence. I also
wanted to expand on my knowledge,” she said.
Completing Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping at SuniTAFE has opened doors for Natalie
and allowed her to achieve her goals.
“Since completing my course I’ve landed myself an accounting role. Having the course on my resume
definitely helped me land the job. Having formal training and education in the classroom helped my
confidence and knowledge during my job interview.”
Not only did Natalie secure employment after finishing her course, she was also able to find a job
that suits the demands of her already busy life.
“One of my goals was to be able to work from home. Being a mum of two, I wanted the flexibility to
work from home and balance both parts of my life. My current role is a working from home job, so I
have achieved what I wanted,” Natalie said.
Natalie is currently employed as a Carbon Accountant at Select Harvests.
More than this though, Natalie enjoyed her time at SuniTAFE and benefited from engaging with the
campus and her peers.
“I was a little nervous before starting as it had been years since studying, but my experience was
very enjoyable and I’d recommend it to anyone. My classroom became like a second family to me.
We were all there for the same reason and I felt very supported from not just the teachers but also
my peers.”
“The most valuable thing I learnt while studying at SuniTAFE was to believe in myself. That I can do it
and I did!” Natalie said.
