Overview

The Certificate III in Horticulture equips you with the skills and knowledge you need to start your career in horticulture. The course is designed to be delivered flexibly with predominantly workplace based projects to suit the needs of individuals and their work schedules in the horticultural industry. The SuniTAFE farm provides exposure to some of the latest technology in horticulture and is a good adjunct to the workplace for practical experience.

Careers

This qualification could lead to employment as a gardener, landscape designer, garden designer, horticulturalist, skilled farm worker or any one of a number of varied roles within the industry.

Pathways

This qualification can lead to further study at a Certificate IV level in Horticulture or other Horticulture industry specific qualification at Certificate IV level.

Course Delivery

Full time classroom based delivery (3-4 days per week) over 1 year. Workplace and classroom- based delivery scheduled around student workplace availability. Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review before enrolling to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals.
