Facilities

Horticulture & Agriculture SuniTAFE SMART Farm campus SuniTAFE’s SMART Farm is preparing the next generation of farm workers with the skills to transform the horticulture and agricultural industries. The 31.2-hectare site features 5 classrooms, sheds, glasshouses and propagation houses, supporting hands-on training, trials and innovation. With a focus on automation, technology and data-driven practices, the SMART Farm is helping students develop far more efficient, forward-thinking methods. Automotive Automotive workshops Students are trained in our dedicated trade workshops and learning spaces, fully equipped with the latest tools, technology, machinery and vehicles to enhance and support their time on campus. Light automotive workshops are fitted with industry benchmark tools and equipment that include a test lane, wheel alignment machines, scanning tools and tyre changers. At our Mildura campus, a dedicated training space was opened in 2020. The workshop boasts the latest equipment and technology including: common rail diesel diagnostic system, medium-duty Isuzu FVD 165-260 Auto truck and a DD13 470HP Detroit diesel engine. Nursing Nursing training labs Our nursing training labs at both our Mildura and Swan Hill campuses are set up to reflect modern industry standards, allowing students to practice their skills in a realistic environment. We are constantly updating our facilities to ensure they align with current industry standards, with modern IV pumps, lifelike manikins, a dedicated medication room and a bathroom where students can practice hygiene. Construction Building and plumbing workshops Our dedicated building and plumbing workshops are equipped with industry-standard tools, technology, workbenches, and equipment. They also feature practical spaces, including a sandpit and building frames for construction and building practice. Beauty Hair and beauty salon Gain practical skills in our on-site beauty Salon located at SuniTAFE’s Mildura campus. Under the supervision of our experienced and qualified teachers, students can practice in an industry-leading training facility covering everything from waxing, lash and brow treatments, facials, hand and foot care, and body massage. Food & Hospitality Hospitality kitchens The Hospitality Department at the Mildura campus boasts two commercial kitchens and a training restaurant that is open to the public. The facilities include commercial ovens, dishwashers, a coffee machine, stoves, slicers, a stick blender and dedicated servery spaces. Engineering Engineering workshops Our Engineering workshops feature an extensive range of industry-standard equipment including MIG and TIG welders, Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machines, CNC lathes and a CNC plasma cutting machine.

Mildura campus Renowned for its big skies, rich earth and welcoming locals, Mildura is a great place to study, work and play. Swan Hill campus SuniTAFE’s Swan Hill campus features a large new trades wing, a new nursing lab, an energy-efficient demonstration house, a library and cafe.
