Student Accommodation

SuniTAFE's Residences is an independent communal living facility set in a spacious garden setting that provides affordable short and long term accommodation for students studying at SuniTAFE, block release and placements.

SuniTAFE Residences are situated at our Mildura Campus on Benetook Ave, providing convenient student accommodation only a 30-minute walk from the Mildura City Centre and a 5-minute walk from a small shopping complex. Accommodation is provided for up to 30 full-time students at SuniTAFE.

Appointments can be made by contacting the Residence Office on 03 5022 3956 or residences@sunitafe.edu.au. The Student Residences are also open for inspection during many SuniTAFE open days and similar events for a short tour.

Your Room

Single rooms or hotel style rooms are fully furnished with:

  • A reverse cycle air conditioner 

  • Wireless internet access

  • Bed

  • Wardrobe

  • Study desk and chair 

Facilities

  • Barbeque

    An undercover large BBQ area is available for use by residents.
  • Rec Room

    A recreation room with pool table, ping pong table, sofas, TV and Xbox is available for residents.
  • Internet

    As a resident, you will have access to wireless Internet for your laptop at no extra cost.
  • Kitchen

    Kitchen appliances are available in the kitchen for use by residents.
  • Laundry facilities

    A laundry is available and is equipped with free washing machines and coin operated dryers.
  • Parking

    In addition to designated parking areas, residents have access to a separate lock up compound car park.
  • Bicycles

    There is a bicycle rack outside the Residences courtyard for parking your bikes.
  • Restaurant

    SuniTASTE Restaurant is a training facility at the Mildura Campus that is open to the public offering food at reduced prices.

Applications Procedure & Documentation

Applicants must complete the relevant application form for accommodation at SuniTAFE Residences and submit it to the Residence Office with the registration fee. Priority is given to students living away from home, first year students, full-time students and second or third year students willing to be Unit Leaders.

Applicants may be required to attend an interview with a Residence interview panel and will be informed of the outcome of their application by mail. Students will be required to pay the relevant bond amount upon their acceptance into the Residences. Students staying for a full academic year can pay up-front for the year and receive a 10% discount.

All students living on residence will be treated as an adult. Residences will not accept applications for students under the age of 18 years.
