Scholarships
SuniTAFE has formed a community partnership with a range of organisations to offer students exciting education scholarships. Scholarships are provided to ensure that the absence of money or support will not stand in the way of a young person achieving their potential.
Available Scholarships
The scholarships will provide $5,000 per year to support students who meet the following criteria:
are Australian citizens
are aged between 16 and 25
reside in north-west Victoria or south-west New South Wales
are able to demonstrate financial hardship
will be studying at one of the Sunraysia Institute of TAFE campuses
Applications to Chances can be accepted at any time throughout the year. Applications are assessed twice a year in October and January.

The Travel Grant was established in honour of Albert Heslop, a state viticulturist, councillor of Swan Hill and Life Member of the Murray Darling Association.
The grant is open to horticulturalists and primary producers from the Murray Valley who want to advance themselves, their enterprise and their industry.
The grant is for $4,000 (including GST). $3,000 of the grant moneys will be awarded at the start and $1,000 granted on receipt of the written report.
Applicants must be aged between 18 and 40 years living and working in:
NSW Shires of Wakool, Balranald, Central Darling or Wentworth; or
Victoria Rural Cities of Swan Hill or Mildura, or Shire of Gannawarra
Applicants propose a travel itinerary that will enhance their experience, will motivate them to achieve personally, and will develop their capacity to be involved in and contribute to their industry group and their region.
The grant recipient will undertake the activities proposed in their application, or as otherwise agreed between the recipient and SuniTAFE.
The recipient will make their own travel arrangements and be responsible for any costs in excess of the grant money awarded.
The recipient will advise SuniTAFE as each activity is completed and, where practical, provide photos that may be used as promotional material.
The recipient will submit a brief written report (in a template provided by SuniTAFE) to SuniTAFE and to their industry within two months of completing the grant program. The report will describe the activities undertake, what was learnt from the activities, and how the activities contribute to the recipient’s industry and enterprise.

This award has been dedicated to the memory of Dr Allan Antcliff, AM.
The scholarship is awarded to a student undergoing training in Production Horticulture, who has achieved a level of excellence in the first stage or year of a course, and is going on to complete a second stage, or year, of a course. The awardee would thus be selected at the conclusion of the first stage, or year.
The scholarship is for $1,000 (including GST).
The scholarship is intended to assist the student in meeting the costs of course fees, text books, and other requisites in the second year of the course.
In consideration of the courses currently on offer, the scholarship will be awarded to:
The top student in the first year of the 2 year Diploma of Production Horticulture course
In the event there are no students in the above course, then the scholarship is to be divided equally between:
Should the above courses not run, or be replaced by new courses, then the guidelines stated above will be applied to replacement courses that relate to viticulture, horticulture or agriculture.

are undergoing a horticulture or agriculture traineeship
will be studying at one of the Sunraysia Institute of TAFE campuses
The scholarship will cover course fees, text books and supplies/equipment required for the course.
