Overview

The Certificate III in Design Fundamentals will provide an introduction to a variety of basic skills in art and design. Students will experiment in printmaking, drawing, photography, 2D and 3D digital design using Adobe Creative Cloud applications, explore colour theory and research aspects of the design industry over two years of study.

Pathways

Students who complete the course are well placed to pathway into the Certificate IV in Design, the Certificate IV in Visual Arts, the Diploma of Graphic Design or Diploma of Visual Arts courses at SuniTAFE Mildura.

Course Delivery

Course delivery information for VETDSS students only: Courses are delivered at SuniTAFE each Friday as per the VETDSS schedule. Students will be required to attend each week, during the school terms, from the 10/02/23 to 27/10/23. Costs will vary between programs and the invoice for the program costs including tuition and materials, will be sent to your home school.

Entry Requirements

Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review to determine individual student needs, their ACSF core skills profile and suitability to this course. The results of the Pre-Training Review will be known before the student commences in training and will be used to determine the suitability and appropriateness of the course to the student's needs – refer Pre-Training Review Procedure.
