Overview

The Diploma of Automotive Technology will provide advanced diagnostic skills for the growing high level of advanced technology found in today's vehicles and vehicles of the future. This qualification will further enhance the existing skills of experienced diagnostic technicians who perform repairs and diagnosis in the automotive retail, service and repair industry. Completion of this course will provide skills to analyse and evaluate faults and develop repair options with ideal repair methods to target the cause of the fault and related symptoms.

Information for International Students

Students must be at least 18 years old when they commence studies.

Students are required to purchase work boots, preferably steel-capped boots, to wear during class. International students are highly recommended to obtain a driver licence in their home country before arriving in Australia. English Proficiency IELTS 6.0 Academic, PTE Academic 50 or equivalent test score, or successful completion of Upper Intermediate ELICOS at Sunraysia Institute of TAFE.

Academic Requirements Completion of year 11 or Australian Year 11 equivalent.  
Study Mode Full-time, face to face learning. Classes are timetabled 3 days per week.
