International Students Intake 2023

28 Mar 2023

Amongst the new faces seen on campus, there are 15 international students who have commenced their studies at SuniTAFE this term.

The new students are enrolled in Horticulture, Hospitality, Accounting, Automotive, and English courses.

Bringing with them a diversity of experiences, the students have come to Australia from 11 different countries across Asia, South America, and the Pacific.

SuniTAFE’s International Manager Camille Mansell is pleased with this year’s intake.
“International students come from all over the world to study at SuniTAFE in Mildura, with students from sixteen countries and five continents currently enrolled here.”

Mildura has proven to be an attractive destination for students for several reasons.
“In Mildura, students are able to experience an authentic Australia and make connections with locals as well as people from other countries,” Camille said.

“This term many of the new international students chose to come here because of family or friends who shared their enthusiasm for the great lifestyle in Mildura and the quality education available at SuniTAFE.”

Most of the new students are enrolled in courses at SuniTAFE for the next two years.
Evident in the impact made by international students from previous years, Camille is excited to see the meaningful connections the students will make with SuniTAFE and the community as a whole. “International students are always keen to engage with the local community and one of the best ways to do this is through part-time work where they gain new skills, make friendships, share their own culture, and improve their communication skills.”
