Learn new skills and get paid with a traineeship

A traineeship is a three-way contract between a student, an employer and SuniTAFE in which the student undertakes an approved course of training with both on-the-job and off-the-job components

Gain accredited training while you work.  Traineeships focus on the skills required for a particular job or occupation and take between 1 and 2 years to complete.

Industry areas at SuniTAFE include:
  • Beauty
  • Business and Accounting
  • Children’s Services
  • Hospitality
  • Health and Community Services
  • Information Technology
  • Automotive
  • Work Health and Safety
  • Wine Operations
  • Agriculture and Horticulture
This is a great way to work either full time or part time while gaining a formal qualification.  On completion, students can continue employment, further study or start their own business.

Apprenticeship v Traineeship

An apprenticeship provides training in a skilled trade, while a traineeship provides training in a vocational area (particular job or occupation).
