Jeremiah Ross

When Jeremiah Ross decided, he did not want to spend his life working as a kitchen hand, he turned to SuniTAFE to find a career he felt more passionate about.

The 18-year-old is currently in his first year of Certificate II in Automotive Vocational Preparation (AUR20720).

“When I had been out in the workforce, I felt as if I could better myself and continue to improve my English skills; reading, writing and spelling if I went to SuniTAFE,” Jeremiah said.

“I would love to get an apprenticeship as a diesel mechanic and eventually end up working in the mines and I knew studying at SuniTAFE would be a good head start to that.”

Jeremiah said he has enjoyed all aspects of being enrolled at SuniTAFE.

“I have loved everything. I have met new people, learnt a lot of new things, and built on the skills I already had,” he said.

“I have enjoyed that it is a lot more hands on than school and the teachers are more involved with getting us to do our best.

“If anyone can come here to study, I would say take that opportunity.

“There so many options and lots of good opportunities for those interested in going on to an apprenticeship or in the trades.”
