Invitations have been sent for this year’s Graduation and Awards evening! 
If you completed your studies in 2023 you can now register for your tickets at the Swan Hill Town Hall website by CLICKING HERE.
Honouring our students' achievements for the 2023 academic year brings us new and exciting celebrations. This year we will be celebrating on Tuesday, 19th of March!

Each ticket includes attendance to the ceremony and light nibbles.

Ticket sales 
Ticket sales are open from 12:00pm, Thursday 15th February until 5:00pm Sunday 17th of March. It cannot be guaranteed that they will be available after this date, as unclaimed tickets will be released for general allocation.

How do I RSVP, reserve & collect my complimentary tickets?
One complimentary ticket is allocated to graduands, trainees and award nominees. Use the promotion codes above to obtain your free ticket.  

Can I bring a guest?
If you would like to bring along family, friends or your employer, tickets are available for purchase. Guest tickets are $20 each and will be available until venue capacity is reached. 
 

ARRIVAL TIME

Swan Hill Town Hall doors open from 4:30pm. It’s important to arrive at the Hall, report your attendance and present your ticket (provided by SHTH when booking) to the registration desk. A light supper will be served from 5:00pm. Drinks will be available at bar prices. Guests are asked to be seated in the Auditorium by 5:50pm for the ceremony to begin at 6:00pm.

Graduands and Award Nominees: Why do I need to arrive by 5:00pm?
Please arrive by 5:00pm at the latest. You will be given directions by SuniTAFE staff about the proceedings of the evening and seating arrangements. If you are a Diploma or Advanced Diploma Graduand you will wear a gown and sash, supplied by SuniTAFE on the evening, to be worn over your attire.

Graduands should leave all bags/cameras/valuables with family and friends or ask the staff at the Swan Hill Town Hall cloakroom.  All graduation gowns and sashes are to be returned at the conclusion of formalities and family/group photos.  

Guests: Why do I need to arrive by 5:40pm?
If you have guests attending, they will need to arrive by 5:40pm to be seated by 5:50pm.  

I’m an Award Nominee, what do I do on the evening?
All Award Nominees will be invited to the evening and will be listed in the program. All nominees will need to report to the registration desk on arrival.   
The winner of each award category will be announced on the night. Only the award winners will be called onto the stage for the presentation of the award and photo. 
 

DRESS CODE

What will I wear to the evening?
The dress code for the evening is smart casual or semi-formal. If you are a graduand or award winner you will be required to navigate steps up to an elevated stage, so please dress appropriately.  

DURING THE CEREMONY

What will I receive on the evening?
A letter of congratulations will be presented to you as you cross the stage and your photo will be taken. You should have already received your accredited certificate before the ceremony.  If you have not received your certificate, please contact Student Administration at the SuniTAFE Swan Hill Campus on 03 5036 0220.

What should I expect on the night?
You will be called to the stage to shake hands, collect your graduation tube, pose for a photo and then be directed off stage back to your seat.  
You will not be required to speak.
There will be a number of awards presented. 


ETIQUETTE 

We want to ensure that all graduands, trainees and award winners are recognised on the night. We welcome the enthusiasm and applause of all attendees as they are presented with their certificate or award. In respect to other graduands or award winners we ask that all attendees and their guests remain in the Auditorium until the conclusion of the evening at approximately 7:00pm.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Will there be professional photos taken?
Jane McClean Photography will take professional photographs of all graduands and award finalists/winners. Photos are free of charge and a link of the photos will be provided to those who register for them. 

All graduands will have a group photo taken prior to the commencement of the ceremony. Graduands will be gowned and should ensure that they are not holding bags, tickets or other material to ensure this process moves smoothly. A photo will be taken on stage when receiving their Graduation Tube or award. Individual, group and family photos may be taken before and after the ceremony. 

Photographs will be available following the evening. A closed photo platform will be set up and you will be able to review and download the photos – details of how, will be shared with you.
All students in attendance, as well as award sponsors and VIPs are deemed to have provided consent to have their photo taken. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please contact awards@sunitafe.edu.au or alternately you can let the photographer know on the night.

Can my friends/family take photos? 
Your guests may take photographs, however photography inside the theatre is not permitted. 


FOLLOWING THE CEREMONY

What time does the Graduation and Awards Evening conclude?
The ceremony will commence in the auditorium at 6:00pm and will conclude at approximately 7:00pm. There will be no intervals during the evening a light supper will be served at the conclusion of formalities in the foyer.
