Mildura Campus Orientation Day a Warm Welcome for SuniTAFE’s New Students
The sun was shining over the Mildura campus courtyard today where new students were invited to gather for the 2024 Orientation Day.

The Lions Club of Mildura provided a barbeque lunch for students and staff, while Scoops Ice Cream was on site to offer a sweet treat to all.

Local organisations set up stalls to encourage students to get involved in the community or to demonstrate where they can go for support while studying.

SuniTAFE Chief Executive Officer Brett Millington opened the event with a message of encouragement to students and teachers for the start of their academic year.

“Without students we don’t have TAFE, and without teachers we don’t have classes or opportunities to give to our students,” Mr Millington said.

“We are dedicated to delivering a high standard of training, providing the community with vital skills, and inspiring growth and belief through learning.”

“We hope you enjoy your time at SuniTAFE and get the most out of it.”

Events Officer Grace Woodall says that an orientation event is so important for new students.

“It is meant to be a fun day, but it also gives us a chance to showcase the facilities that students have access to in the Mildura area,” Grace said.

“It also gives students the opportunity to interact informally with their teachers and classmates. Even better on a beautiful, sunny January afternoon.”

The Swan Hill campus will host an Orientation Day in the coming weeks. There’s still time to enrol at SuniTAFE for 2024, with new courses becoming available weekly. Click here to see what’s on offer.
