Students, industry partners and staff joined together at the Swan Hill Town Hall Performing Arts and Conference Centre last night for the annual SuniTAFE Graduation and Awards.
The event recognised the hard work and determination of students for the 2022 academic year. It also acknowledged employers, parents, friends and family who supported and contributed to the students' individual outcomes.
At the Swan Hill Campus in 2022 23 students graduated from 3 diploma qualifications. 3 students from 2 traineeships completed their studies and 7 student awards were presented to deserving recipients.
Pearl Dunn had double the celebrations, graduating from the Diploma of Nursing and receiving Koorie Student of the Year for demonstrating outstanding achievements in her studies. Despite facing significant hardships, Pearl remained committed to her studies at all times. Pearl is now a skilled and responsible nurse at Kerang District Health, working in a career she loves.
Apprentice of the Year (3rd Year) was awarded to Blair Hogan. Blair didn't know what he wanted to do with his career during school, but has since found his calling through completing an apprenticeship with Mallee Steel Supply and Fabrication. His teachers are impressed with the high detail of his work.
SuniTAFE Board and staff are grateful for the support of all the award sponsors and proud of all the graduating students and award winners.
