This course is intended for people seeking to work in the early childhood education and care sector. It provides the skills and knowledge required to assist in the design and implementation of the curriculum and care programs, in early childhood education and care services. It will supply all the necessary understanding of how to work with learning frameworks so that upon implementation, they meet the requirements of the education and care services National Regulations and the National Quality Standards. On completion of this course you will be capable of providing quality education and care for the social, emotional, physical and learning needs of infants and young children. Classroom - Training will be delivered on site at SuniTAFE. Online - Training will be delivered online. Although online delivery is delivered out of the Mildura Campus, the course is also open to applicants from Swan Hill and surrounding districts. This course requires the completion of 160 hours of mandatory work placement. Placement is arranged by SuniTAFE.
Applicants are required to undertake a Pre-Training Review to help confirm the course is suitable. Applicants must be willing to provide a Working with Children Check, clear police check prior to undertaking placement and are responsible for all costs associated. Online applicants enrolling as an Apprentice/Trainee must have a registered training contract. Applicants who are currently working in the industry must be able to provide a letter of support from their employer to undertake some practical assessments in the workplace. Applicants must have access to a computer and the internet. Applicants must confirm the understanding of the requirements of Practical Placement including the provision of Working With Children Check.
