Protected Horticulture covers a range of horticultural sectors such as commercial hydroponics, greenhouse facilities and covered crops. Certificate II in Protected Horticulture provides the skills and knowledge required for individuals to work in support roles in areas of picking, packing, crop and nursery work.
Completion of this course will give you the necessary skills to work as a support worker in the protected horticulture industry.
This qualification can lead to further study in Certificate III in Horticulture, Production Horticulture, or Nursery Operations.
Classroom - Training will be delivered on site at SuniTAFE. Classroom and Workplace - Training will be delivered both on site at SuniTAFE and in the workplace.
Applicants are required to undertake a Pre-Training Review to help confirm the course is suitable. Applicants must be working in the industry and able to provide a letter of support from their employer to undertake some practical assessments in the workplace.
