International Women’s Day

08 Mar 2022

SuniTAFE staff joined people around the globe on Tuesday, March 8 to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women on International Women’s Day. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.

Gender equity is vitally important at SuniTAFE with more than 63 per cent of our staff identifying as female.

At SuniTAFE we have a number of women in leadership including Chairperson of the Board, General Manager / Chief Financial Officer, at Senior Management level and spread throughout our teaching and non-teaching staff members.

The theme this year of International Women’s Day was #BreakTheBias, which focuses on a gender equal world.

A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive and a world where difference is valued and celebrated.

There is currently work going on in the background to develop the SuniTAFE Gender Equity Action Plan which will support training and action to #BreakTheBias for all gender identities at SuniTAFE.
