Overview

If you're planning a career in the automotive industry, this course is the perfect place to start. The qualification will provide you with some of the basic skills and knowledge required for beginning either as a trainee or for work experience. Through this qualification you will gain some familiarity with the automotive setting and the ability to perform a limited range of tasks, relating to the inspection of the mechanical components and systems of vehicles. You will also be able to perform some minor maintenance and repairs on the body of a vehicle. This qualification offers a solid base for you to undertake work and further training, in the broader automotive industry.

This qualification will equip you with the basic knowledge to proceed into further education in this area. You might like to think about the Certificate III in Automotive (need to be employed as an apprentice).

Entry Requirements

Applicants are required to undertake a Pre-Training Review to help confirm the course is suitable. All students will need to provide their own safety boots. All other personal protection equipment (PPE) is provided by SuniTAFE.
