Supplier Engagement

State Purchasing Contracts and Supplier Registers

As a Victorian Public Sector Agency, SuniTAFE is mandated to purchase selected goods and services via State Purchasing Contracts (SPCs) and supplier registers or directories established by the VGPB.

These whole of Victorian Government contracts, panels, registers, or directories have been designed to streamline procurement activities enabling SuniTAFE to make the most of economies of scale when buying from the marketplace and reduce many risks by accessing pre-negotiated contract terms and conditions.

The benefits of SPCs include:
  • Better value for money using the State’s buying power
  • Supply and service continuity
  • Reduced risks through pre-negotiated contract terms and conditions
  • Improved quality assurance
  • Efficiency gains through a standard and consistent approach
  • Increased accountability and governance
  • Improved contract monitoring and reporting
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement
  • Access for suppliers through competitive tender processes

SuniTAFE encourage suppliers to make inquiries to join VGPB registers as it makes doing business easier for both the supplier and SuniTAFE.

When goods and services are not supplied via a SPC or Register, SuniTAFE will engage with the open market following our own procurement policies and processes.
