Course Delivery

48 months or 4 years with learning and assessment undertaken onsite 1 day per fortnight. Or in a simulated work environment at SuniTAFE Mildura or Swan Hill campus if competency unable to be achieved onsite.

Entry Requirements

Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review before enrolling to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals. Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A or its successor covers this requirement. Victoria:Must have a workplace/be employed as an Apprentice and a hold a training contract. NSW: Must have a workplace/be employed as an Apprentice and a NSW state training registration.
