Overview

The Certificate I EAL assists adult learners of non- English speaking backgrounds to develop language and literacy skills. Learners entering this course are assessed as beginners with remedial learning needs arising from limited or disrupted schooling. The learning focus for the Certificate I EAL is to develop English Language skills to be able to progress to further study.

Entry Requirements

Applicants are required to undertake a Pre-Training Review to help confirm the course is suitable. Applicants will be interviewed by the department as part of the Pre-Training Review. Interviews are to be conducted by Teaching staff by appointment through the Department Engagement Officer.
