Award Course

Overview

The Certificate II in Work Education is intended to support post compulsory school aged learners with a permanent cognitive impairment / intellectual disability to develop employment ready skills, knowledge and behaviours. By completing a combination of foundation and vocational skills in both simulated and authentic workplace settings learners are better prepared to join the workforce and gain employment.

Careers

After completion of the course students could find employment in their chosen VET area.

Pathways

After completion of the Certificate II in Work Education course students may move into the workforce or may access to further specific vocational training in their chosen VET area.

Entry Requirements

Each applicant will be required to undertake a Pre-training Review before enrolling to help confirm if the proposed course is suitable. Applicants must provide evidence of a permanent cognitive and/or intellectual disability as outlined in the 22631VIC training package. Depending on the placement area students may require any of the following: working with children check, NDIS check, Police check, any applicable vaccines and inductions may also be required.
