More than 200 students, teachers, and local business representatives celebrated student success and industry excellence at the SuniTAFE Mildura campus Trades Night.
Hosted annually, SuniTAFE’s Trades Night events are designed to celebrate and champion skills excellence within vital industries in the Mallee region.
During the evening, 26 students were awarded a prestigious Trades Award, recognising their hard work, dedication, and high skill level in their trade.
SuniTAFE’s overall Apprentices of the Year were also awarded during the night, crowning the highest achievers across each year level.
The evening’s biggest winner was apprentice Nathan Comitti who won both the Outstanding Third Year Heavy Automotive award and was named Mildura’s overall Apprentice of the Year.
Engineering Mechanical apprentice Lachlan Spence and Carpentry apprentice Dylan Boseley also took home Apprentice of the Year accolades in first and second year respectively.
SuniTAFE CEO Brett Millington was proud to welcome more than 200 guests to the Mildura campus to celebrate the great work being done in trades training.
“It was fantastic to acknowledge the effort and continued hard work of our trades students, as well as their teachers and employers who have worked closely with them during their training,” he said.
“Each award winner is highly deserving of this recognition, showing exceptional skills and dedication to their industry.
“Events like these are an example of our SuniTAFE Vision in practice, which is to inspire growth and belief through learning.”
