SuniTAFE student Yuying ‘Linda’ Ding was named International Student of the Year – Vocational Education and Training at last night’s Victorian International Education Awards.

This is the second consecutive year that a SuniTAFE student has received this accolade, with Linda’s peer Alexiane Beck winning in 2022.

These awards form part of the Study Melbourne initiative and aim to congratulate students who champion international education and make the most of their move to Australia.

Linda is a deserving winner of this award, using her time in Mildura to give back to the community.

She promotes Mildura on social media platforms by posting photos and reviews, encouraging increased tourism.
Linda also uses the knowledge she has gained from her accounting course to better understand local business and the operational and sustainability issues they face.

Finally, she has always helped newly arrived international students settle into Mildura and continues to encourage others to study at SuniTAFE.

SuniTAFE is proud of Linda’s achievements. She was given the opportunity to meet with the Hon. Gayle Tierney, Minister for Skills and TAFE earlier this month to talk about her experiences at TAFE.
