This WorkSafe approved HSR Refresher training course will assist HSR's and deputy HSR's understanding of how they can effectively use their powers when participating in the identification, prevention and ;control of the risk associated with psychological health. It is an opportunity to revisit aspects of the HSR Initial OHS Training course and to keep updated with any legislative changes that may have occurred. Although HSRs are the primary audience, managers, supervisors, health and safety committee members and anyone with an interest in health and safety may also benefit from attending this course. Under the OHS Act 2004 (section 67) all elected Health and Safety Representative (HSR) and Deputy HSR's are entitled to undertake WorkSafe Victoria approved OHS training for HSRs and choose their course in consultation with their employer. Learning outcomes of the course include: understanding psychological health, identify psychosocial hazards, kow legal duties and requirement, understand HSR roles and power, apply risk management processes, assess psychosocial risks, control and reduce risks, resolve workplace issues and use prevention plans and supports. Emphasis is on participant involvement. Participant will receive a Certificate of Attendance after completion of the course.
Classroom - Training will be delivered on site at SuniTAFE.
