Victorian Certificate of Education and Victorian Pathways Certificate are an alternative to mainstream schooling. Our unique courses offer a pathway from the world of school to the world of work. Our highly flexible program integrates hands-on TAFE training and real work opportunities tailored to your goals. Through a supported environment with small class sizes, students engage in project-based learning focused on both individual and group interests.
Work Education is intended to support post compulsory school age learners with permanent intellectual disabilities to explore work options and access pathways to further specific vocational education and training. It supports learners to improve their employability and work readiness.
Transition Education supports learners with an intellectual disability to become active participants in the community. The course assists learners to develop life skills and supports self development so that they can explore suitable future options such as employment, further study or community participation.
The SuniTAFE Pathway to Work Program (PWP) is designed as a 3 year program for young people with evidence of a permanent cognitive and/or intellectual disability or who have participated in modified programs at secondary school due to a learning disability. The goal of PWP is to build each students self-esteem and confidence with appropriate levels of support, for successful entry into the workforce at the end of the 3 year program.
Education Support will help you develop the skills required to provide assistance and support in the school classroom. Learn the skills to facilitate students' learning under the supervision of qualified teaching staff. On completion, SuniTAFE students may qualify to work in a range of educational settings, including public and independent schools and in community education.
SuniTAFE's Training and Assessment courses are designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to gain employment in the VET sector or to become a workplace trainer.
Vocational Education and Training reflects the roles of experienced practitioners delivering training and assessment services usually within Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. They may have a role in leading other trainers and assessors and in providing mentoring or advice to new trainers or assessors as well as designing approaches to learning and assessment strategies across a significant area within the RTO.
