Child Care

TAFE Kids Inc Community Child Care & Kindergarten provides qualified child care for the general community, SuniTAFE staff and students, with care available to children aged from 6 weeks to school age.

TAFE Kids is assessed by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and managed by a Committee of Management. The Centre caters for up to 91 children and also has a Kindergarten with a degree qualified Kinder teacher. 
 

Qualified and Experienced

TAFE Kids provides qualified, experienced and friendly educators; weekly curriculum that is child focused and on display in each room; nappies, records of children’s daily activities; eating patterns and sleep routine for parent information and nutritious home cooked meals including morning and afternoon snacks (special dietary requirements are catered for).

Funding and Assistance​

Noah’s Ark funding is available to approved additional needs children. Child Care Benefit, Jobs, Education and Training Child Care Fee Assistance (JETCCFA) and other benefits are also available through the Department of Human Services.

All Year Round

The Centre is open all year, except for public holidays and the period between Christmas and New Year. Vacation care is also available during school term breaks. Inspection of facilities is invited and enquiries are welcome.

Philosophy

The Centre is a strong proponent of multiculturalism and diversity, which is integrated into the children’s daily curriculum. We also maintain an access policy that gives high priority to children of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
