Overview

The Diploma of Automotive Technology will provide advanced diagnostic skills for the growing high level of advanced technology found in today's vehicles and vehicles of the future. This qualification will further enhance the existing skills of experienced diagnostic technicians who perform repairs and diagnosis in the automotive retail, service and repair industry. Completion of this course will provide skills to analyse and evaluate faults and develop repair options with ideal repair methods to target the cause of the fault and related symptoms.

Entry Requirements

Applicants are required to undertake a Pre-Training Review (or equivalent) to help confirm the course is suitable. Students with a study visa must meet compulsory study offer conditions. Those undertaking the Diploma of Automotive Technology must have completed an automotive Certificate IV qualification in one of the following disciplines, or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency. AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis or AUR40816 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Overhauling.
