Expressions of Interest – Horticulture Advisory Board

SuniTAFE invites expressions of interest from community members with experience in horticulture, agriculture, irrigation management and/or agtech to apply for positions on its volunteer Horticulture Innovation Advisory Board.

The Advisory Board will meet a minimum six times per year and will contribute to the development of SuniTAFE policy regarding training and facilities associated with horticultural production, processing, marketing and distribution.
Establishing a SMART Farm training centre is a key priority for SuniTAFE and will be a focus of the Advisory Board.
Persons interested in applying for the Advisory Board will ideally possess knowledge of modern farming practices, have an interest in innovation and emerging technologies and will have current (or recent) management experience with a commercial or corporate farming enterprise.

The Institute seeks representation from individuals across all parts of North Western Victoria and from diverse commodity groups. Video conferencing facilities at SuniTAFE’s three campusus in Mildura, Robinvale and Swan Hill are available to reduce the need for travel.

Appointment to the volunteer Horticulture Innovation Advisory Board is by invitation following a skills assessment review by SuniTAFE for an initial two term. The position is not remunerated, nor does it carry governance responsibility/liability.

To confirm your expression of interest, please send your resume along with covering letter outlining your interest in becoming part of this advisory board to the attention of Warren Lloyd, wlloyd@sunitafe.edu.au or Nicole Byrnes, nbyrnes@sunitafe.edu.au by close of business Wednesday 31 July 2019.
