Our students assisted in preparation in the #SuniTAFE kitchens, and also provided service on the night. Congratulations to all involved.

Mmmm - did you get any of the cookies from the VCAL students stall in the #SuniTAFE hub this morning?

The VCAL Students have been busy in the kitchen and cooked up a storm as part of their Work Related Skills and Personal Development.

Seriously delicious - thanks to the cooks. ( I may have eaten the whole lot :-( )

Money raised will got towards their community project in Term 2. Thanks to everyone who supported the stall. :-)

Certificate III in Irrigation School - Sunraysia Institute of TAFE, Mildura

A six day residential ‘custom designed’ Certificate III in Irrigation School designed for industry. The school facilitated by Irrigation Australia and #SuniTAFE will provide an in-depth irrigation training program which is assessed against nationally recognised Competencies towards a Certificate III in Irrigation.

This program will be presented by highly experienced and qualified professionals who are actively working in leading organisations of the industry. The program also engages subject matter experts for specialised topics such as hydraulics, troubleshooting and basic irrigation design, to name a few.
This course will enable participants to provide a more professional service to people relying on the irrigation industry for advice, service and products.

Irrigation Australia is proud to deliver this course in partnership with SuniTAFE .

#SuniTAFE graduation has come and gone but how do you order your photos?

Join the closed SuniTAFE Graduation photos group and choose your photos :-) Photos will be available for viewing March 19 - 30.

We will also have a photo proof sheet available for review (and order) at our Mildura Campus Customer Service Centre.

Photos ordered will be printed and presented professionally and available for collection from our Mildura Campus. If you wish to purchase a digital copy of your photo we can provide that to you on request for a small fee.

• 5 x 7 inch colour photo in presentation frame - $20
• Additional digital copy of photo on SuniTAFE USB - $5

Shae was joint winner of the VETiS Student of the Year Award announced earlier tonight.  Comments listed in her interview notes included… “Shae is an exceptional candidate” and “OMG! Can we employ Shae?!”  

Shae has aspirations for further study and work in the health field.  
She is driven and has a goal for her future, which she demonstrated throughout her interview.  Congratulations Shae

Tim is keen to progress on to study at the Certificate IV and Diploma level and encourages others to study at SuniTAFE.  At interview Tim said he was impressed with the support, teachers and equipment at the Mildura campus.  He currently lives on residence at SuniTAFE with his wife and child and works as a volunteer at North Star Motors.

Shae completed her VETiS program as a student of Coomealla High School.  Shae has now been accepted into the Bachelor of Human Services at university and aims to ultimately complete a Masters Social Work.  Shae saw her VETiS program as part of the big picture and something that would provide her with a pathway to university.  

Thomas attends Trinity Lutheran College, and began his VETiS studies in year 9.  He completed his Certificate II in Engineering Studies in 2017 and wants to continue into an engineering related course and work in the future.  At interview, Thomas said that the VETiS program taught him something that VCE couldn’t, particularly with regard to getting work ready.  Thomas thinks outside of the box and wants to continue to live and work in rural areas.

Congratulations to both of these very impressive young people.
